Under the Mediterranean sun, surrounded by pine and olive groves, life is simple but rich. Olive Grove Retreats offer you simplicity, the exceptional beauty of the surroundings, and soul-inspiring activities.
Our facility and our accommodation at the Hotel Korinjak (pronounced Coreeneak), named after the highest hill on the island, is in the tradition of retreat-style accommodation: simple, surrounded by pine trees and the beach, without the distractions of the big city.
We offer single or double options (sometimes triple or quadruple if we have families with children). Most of the rooms have a balcony. The restaurant offers buffet-style, balanced vegetarian meals based on locally grown produce and herbs, and there are also opportunities to play table tennis, use canoes or visit the small isolated island of Ruknjak (with hourly transportation to the island).

Dinning at the Patio
OUR SERVICE STAFF is committed to providing superb nutrition and meals prepared with care. We encourage you to connect to your body to determine the balanced choices and balanced portions of your servings. In charge is gourmet chef Tony Baric, who trained in Salzburg,Austria and Germany. After many years of employment with major hotel chains in Germany, he has been engaged at Island Iz for the past five years. Meals are served three times a day at the open, buffet-style table on the outdoor terrace.
Our kitchen provides natural, organic, and locally grown foods, including vegetables, fruits, herbs and grains. Meals are vegetarian (fish and poultry are not available). You will also enjoy a variety of freshly baked breads and seasonal fresh fruits. The herbs and spices (including herbs for the generous amount of teas available to guests at any time) are grown and collected on the island. Your reservation includes all meals beginning with dinner on your first day and ending with lunch on your last day.

COMPOSTING You can contribute to the 'composting revolution' by making sure you are not using more than you can consume. There is no recycling program at the moment in Croatia but there is not a lot of opportunity on the island to buy packaged food with nondisposable packaging either. Whatever your idea or style of composting, there's plenty of room to get involved!
